Business Leaders and the President Agree:
Paul Saginaw, a co-founding partner in Zingerman's Community of Businesses, explained in a White House blog post this week why he's a spokesperson for a fair minimum wage.
"For more than three decades," he writes, "our successful businesses have been profitable but never by underpaying our employees or withholding benefits." As he makes clear, higher wages and benefits aren't obstacles to profit -- they actually enhance businesses' profits.
